On Friday, November 5 and Saturday, November 6, participating stores and restaurants in Downtown Gadsden will kick off the holiday season with Christmas Open House. The event is the ideal time to get a head start on shopping for those special Christmas gifts, hostess gifts for those holiday parties and for home décor to dress up your house for the season.
Shoppers can look forward to extended hours at their favorite downtown stores. Many will be offering special sales and holiday treats. Santa will help keep shoppers in a merry mood on Saturday.
As an added feature, Gadsden State Community College will present a Jazz Festival in the 600 Block of Broad Street on Friday. That block will be closed to automotive traffic on Friday.
