The
5th Annual Downtown Gadsden Chili Cook-Off took place Saturday, February 4,
2012. The event was a huge success with more than 400 attendees that came out
to taste the various chili recipes from 24 participating teams. Upon
a blind judging by eight judges, scores were tallied and the winners were
chosen. They are as follows: Showmanship Award & Crowd Favorite Award: The
Brew Crew; Third Place: Chili Chicks; Second Place: Al & Fran
Andrepont; First Place: Amedisys Hospice. Downtown
Gadsden, Inc. would like to thank all teams, judges, volunteers and patrons who
helped pull off another successful Chili Cook-Off. We look forward to the 6th
Annual Downtown Gadsden Chili Cook-Off on the first Saturday of February 2013.
